I’m a marine engineer and academic with a passion for sustainable maritime development and engineering innovation. I hold a PhD in Marine Engineering from Shanghai Maritime University and currently lecture at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture & Technology. My work focuses on sustainable port development, maritime environmental protection, and climate change mitigation—especially in the context of Africa’s decarbonization journey.
Over the years, I’ve led and contributed to research on marine materials, vessel design, and artisanal mining technologies. I’m a registered graduate engineer with the Engineers Board of Kenya, a certified NDT Level II Inspector, and a technical expert with MTCC Africa. I thrive in cross-disciplinary collaboration and enjoy mentoring the next generation of maritime professionals.
