Adeniji Michael Oluwafemi is a multidisciplinary energy professional, climate advocate, and policymaker committed to driving sustainable development through clean energy innovation and policy reform. He currently serves at the National Centre for Energy Efficiency and Conservation (NCEEC) a research arm of the Energy Commission of Nigeria where he leads initiatives in energy audits, solar PV deployment, and energy efficiency implementation.

Michael is a contributor to Nigeria’s National Energy Policy and serves as the Vice Chairman of the Nigeria National Technical Committee on Electrical Installation, Accessories, and Safety Regulation, playing a strategic role in the formulation of technical standards that ensure safety, reliability, and sustainability in power systems. He is also a National Climate Fellow with Change the Chamber (CTC), engaging in U.S.-Africa climate diplomacy and advocacy.

His technical expertise is reflected in energy audits conducted for institutions such as the University of Lagos, University College Hospital Ibadan, and the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture. He is a member of multiple national committees on solar PV, lightning protection, and electromagnetic compatibility.

Michael holds a Bachelor’s in Electrical Electronics Engineering and is currently pursuing an MSc in Energy Management and Entrepreneurship at FUTO. He is passionate about policy innovation, energy justice, and empowering communities through sustainable energy solutions.
