Nikol Hearn, CFA, is currently the Head of Transactions at the Namibia Green Hydrogen Programme, which was set up under the office of the Presidency to unlock Namibia’s renewable energy potential, with a particular focus on Hydrogen. She is responsible for supporting GRN linked GH2 projects to achieve FID, facilitating blended finance mechanisms to unlock the sector as well as create the fiscal regime for the country. She most recently worked as a senior fund advisor at Waterworks Offshore (Zech Holdings GmbH), which is a financial advisory firm focusing on the offshore renewable industry and related infrastructure sectors, with a strong project finance focus. Her experience has been largely on the buy side, having previously worked at Marine Capital and Borealis Maritime, in London, specialising in green maritime and fuels investment strategy and project finance transactions. Nikol is both Namibian and South African and graduated with a master’s degree in Economics from the University of Cape Town.
