Obiora Amadi is a Sport and Environment Diplomat from the land of the Rising Sun in Present day Nigeria. He is the Executive Secretary of Hanypay Global Services Nigeria Limited, a leading Fintech company in Nigeria that promotes transactions with the African Kingdoms Lumi (AKL) a digital currency from the Eco 6 region (African diaspora). He is the Executive President of American-Football For African Mission (AFFAM), a Non-profit Organization that is registered both in Nigeria and USA which uses Sports as a vehicle to engage the Youths of Africa to attain Several UN SDGs. Obiora is an Animal Scientist by training from the University of Agriculture Markudi, Benue State, Nigeria and has worked as an intern at the National Animal Production Research Institute (NAPRI) Shika Zaria From 2012-2013 where he learnt firsthand the intricacies of Environmental Sustainability as it concerns Animals, plants and Man. Due to His interest in Environmental Sustainability he came in contact with MGCY a.t UNEP during the COVID-19 Pandemic lockdown era of 2020 where he engaged in drafting policies for UNEA 5 series, Participating as Selection Committee member for Stockholm +50 Youth Taskforce, Focal Group Member of several thematics of the Youth Constituency and including Masterclass Facilitating and Presentation at Generation Climate Europe (GCE), Youth Environment Europe (YEE) and EcorFoundation.
He is Currently the Global focal point for Sustainable Consumption and Production with MGCY a youth platform for United Nations One Planet Network, where he is working assiduously with other colleagues to mainstream SCP into the United Nations framework as it feeds and cuts across other SDGs and also a member of 2025 Y20 South Africa G20 submit.
Obiora is a passionate Sports man that has played and practiced several Sports including Taekwondo,Judo and Recently American Football. He has a diploma in Physical Health and Education, He is an Alumnus of International Sports Programming Initiative (ISPI) of the Department of States USA, Consultant and Speaker at The US State Department & World learning on the topic “Sports with an American Flavor” and has several certifications from International Sports Organizations including International Olympic Committee (IOC). Through Sports, he has been able to advocate, promote and demonstrate Sustainable Consumption and Production to the Youths of Africa, which is a unique tool that he is open to share with all.
