Olivio Jacinto, is a Senior Maritime Policy Adviser. He has 19 years of experience in maritime industry, twelve of which representing the Republic of Angola at the International Maritime Organisation (IMO). Co-founder of African Maritime Advisory Group (AMAG), where engaged actively in various policy related work, including contributing to the final revised version of the 2050 Africa Integrated Maritime Strategy (2050 AIM Strategy). He has spoken and chaired in international conferences and other events.

He has held positions of responsibility in his country, such as General Deputy (Technical) Director of Maritime and Port Institute of Angola (IMPA) and Executive Board Member of National Maritime Agency of Angola (AMN).

Outside work, he enjoys playing chess, reading, listening to music, and derives pleasure from physical activity.

His education background includes an MBA in Project Management, an MSc in Maritime Affairs ─ specialized in Maritime Law & Policy, an MA in International Relations, and has a BA in International Relations & Development Studies.
