Patrick Ayeni

A dynamic and sustainability-driven researcher with a strong academic and professional background in rural development, sustainable agriculture, and natural resource management. Over the past several years, he has tackled some of the most pressing challenges in agricultural transformation, ranging from irrigation technology for cocoa farmers in Ghana to scenario analysis for food system transitions in Europe. An expert in climate adaptation, water management, agricultural policy, and participatory research is backed by experience with organisations such as ThriveAgric, where he worked for over three years as a People and Culture expert. He is also a certified HR professional and has interned at the International Water Management Institute (IWMI). Patrick holds a master’s degree from the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU). His work spans Africa and Europe, focusing on irrigation technology adoption, smallholder farmers, and food systems transformation.
